Didache Semester Series Customer Information
Midwest Theological Forum (MTF) and the new Curriculum Framework for the Teaching of Religion (Theology) in Catholic High Schools throughout the United States.

Midwest Theological Forum has been working with the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) Subcommittee on the Catechism for several years in order to publish approved textual materials for Religious Education in conformity with the Catechism of the Catholic Church.

In 2007, the Subcommittee on the Catechism issued a Curriculum Framework to assist publishers in their publication of Religious Education textbooks for Catholic High Schools. The proposed framework is built around eight (8) semesters of instruction in which there are six (6) core courses and two (2) electives. The framework provides five (5) options for the two electives.

In accordance with these guidelines, Midwest Theological Forum has developed the Didache Semester Series, which is detailed below. Each textbook is published with ecclesiastical approval and is sent to the USCCB Subcommittee on the Catechism for conformity review.

For those schools and others who wish to continue using the Didache Complete Course Series, Midwest Theological Forum will continue to offer Introduction to Catholicism; Understanding the Scriptures; The History of the Church; and Our Moral Life in Christ, which address the principal areas of religious study for grades nine through twelve and are on the USCCB Conformity Listing of Catechetical Texts and Series.
