First Published over 30 years ago, the Daily Roman Missal is an essential resource for anyone who wants to grow closer to the Eucharist. An ideal traveling companion and a great fit for your glove box, briefcase, backpack, or carry-on, the Daily Roman Missal is a great resource for following the Mass, studying it more closely, and reflecting on its profound beauty and grace.  The Daily Roman Missal is a book for the home as well as a book for the church.  It familiarizes the People of God with Sacred Scripture, explaining it in the context of their public and communal worship of God.

Features of this Seventh Edition of Daily Roman Missal:

  • Prayers, antiphons, and readings (A-B-C cycle for Sundays, two-year cycle for weekdays) for all Masses throughout the liturgical year;
  • English and Latin texts side-by-side for the Order of Mass (including only Eucharistic Prayers I through IV), the Entrance and Communion Antiphons, the response to the Responsorial Psalm, the Sequence, the Alleluia verse before the Gospel, and many devotions and prayers;
  • Masses for all the saints on the General Roman Calendar, adapted for use in the dioceses of the United States of America;
  • Liturgical Calendar of dates through 2031;
  • Smyth-sewn binding has been reformulated to provide durability and allows the DRM to lay flat from cover to cover when open;
  • Six placeholder ribbons;
  • the text is 10pt font.

All this plus over 200 pages of devotions and prayers complete this dignified, one-volume hand missal.

Very good missal

I really like this missal. Especially having the Latin and English order of the mass. The prayers at the back of the missal are truly the best around. And the arrangement of the missal is fairly easy to use. One difficulty though is finding the readings for special feasts and saints as this requires a lot of page flipping. To make this missal perfect though I would suggest adding, to future printings, the two eucharistic prayers of reconciliation and the rite of blessing and sprinkling of water, as my parish uses these sometimes, as I have the St. Pauls daily missal which includes these in the ordinary of the mass after the four regular Eucharistic prayers. And a real bonus, making this missal perfect, would be to include all the proper prayers and prefaces in parallel Latin and English just like the CTS daily missal does.(Have you guys seen that missal?)These additions would truly make this the best Ordinary form Latin-English missal around and allow people to follow along with the OF mass in Latin as seen on EWTN quite often, and at some parishes.

Perfect for Seminary

I bought this Missal to help me with my seminary studies on the recommendation of several other seminarians, and I couldn’t be happier with it! This one isn’t nearly as snazzy as the leather and imitation leather bound versions, because it doesn’t have the gold edges, but it is still worth every penny. In addition to the usual fare you might expect from a Missal, like Mass Commons, the different prefaces and Eucharistic prayers, and the readings of the day, it includes both the English and the (Novus Ordo) Latin Masses for the key parts of the Mass, including the psalm, as well as several prayers in both languages at the back of the book. I really enjoy this version, and would highly recommend it to other seminarians and anyone seeking to be more familiar with the Mass and the priestly devotional practices surrounding it.
