Thomas Aschenbrener

Monsignor Fernando Ocáriz was born in Paris on October 27, 1944. He graduated from the University of Barcelona with a degree in Physical Sciences in 1966.  He received a licentiate in Theology from the Pontifical Lateran University in 1969 and a doctorate from the University of Navarre in 1971, the year he was ordained a priest.  He was a professor of Fundamental Theology at the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross, and he has been a consultor for several departments of the Roman curia: the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith (since 1986), the Congregation for Clergy (since 2003) and the Pontifical Council for the Promotion of the New Evangelization (since 2011).  He has been a member of the Pontifical Theological Academy since 1989.  On 23 January 2017, Pope Francis appointed him Prelate of Opus Dei.

Rev. Arturo Blanco is a Professor of Fundamental Theology at the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross in Rome. The present work is derived from his teaching experience and his investigation of those themes related to faith and credibility.
Rev. Blanco has also dedicated special attention to the History of Theology. In collaboration with Msgr. Fernando Ocariz, he has published ¿Que es la teologia? (Ed. Palabra, 1990) and Teologia Fundamental (Apollinare Studi, 1997).
