Rev. Msgr. James D. Watkins is the pastor of Immaculate Conception Church in Washington, DC. A graduate of the Pontifical North American College in Rome in 1989, he compiled the Manual of Prayers for the College in the early 1990s as a supplemental prayerbook for the seminarians of the College but also for the use of priests and laity who treasure the many gems of prayer and devotion of the Catholic Church. Msgr. Watkins graduated from the Angelicum and Gregorian universities in Rome and holds a doctorate in philosophy from the Angelicum. He has been lecturing in metaphysics at The Catholic University of America (Washington, DC) since 1990 and is a chaplain in the Order of Malta.
