One In Christ: Marriage Renewal

One in Christ Marriage Renewal is a program designed to assist couples in strengthening their marriage and attaining a deeper understanding of their vocation in Christ.

Rev. Thomas Aschenbrener and Coleen Kelly Mast present the sacramental theology and practical exercises to assist couples in building meaningful communication skills through the regular practice of reflection, discussion, and prayer.  The program can be presented as a workshop at the local parish or diocese, and can also be purchased by individual couples to use as a self-study guide in the home.

One In Christ Marriage Renewal will help the couple examine the significance of the marital relationship in light of God’s love and the Sacramental grace received on their wedding day.

Topics include:

• Ways to foster healing in marriage;
• How to cope with suffering and trials;
• Ways to grow in virtue together;
• The meaning of prayer;
• How to rediscover the transformative power of God’s grace in the Sacraments;
• How to embrace the unique call to authentic life and love in God’s plan for the family.

One In Christ Marriage Renewal is based on Love and Life in the Divine Plan (Pastoral Letter by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops).
